The Teaching Garden

The Alabama State University Entomology Team, housed in the department of Biological Sciences, will host its Summer 2020 Webinar Series beginning July 1. This series is based on topics surrounding several fields of agriculture, including entomology and horticulture. The Teaching Garden 2

Dr. Michelle Samuel-Foo, an assistant professor of Biology at ASU and a trained entomologist, is the principal investigator responsible for this initiative. She said the idea for this series was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on the campus closure.

“Our team wanted to find creative ways in which we could still reach our students and target audience in these unprecedented times, while instilling a sense of learning and comfort for those viewing,” Samuel-Foo said.
